Scientifically Proven

Because many of us sit on our glutes all day, the neural pathways to activate these muscles are weakened. This problem is called "glute amnesia" and it is practically an epidemic. It is extremely difficult to activate our glute and hamstring muscles – and women in particular often end up building up the quads, which is not ideal. The COBA Board Glute Trainer was created to provide a total solution in one piece of equipment rather than time consuming gym routines and ineffective, cumbersome alternatives.

The COBA Board counterbalance concept has been scientifically proven to optimize glute workouts. Dr. Scott Lynn, Ph.D., Associate Professor Biomechanics Department of Kinesiology at California State University, Fullerton conducted an independent study and found that performing squats, lunges and deadlifts on the COBA Board Glute Trainer maximized glute and hamstring muscle activation while reducing emphasis and stress on the knees and quadriceps.

Important: Your body weight anchors the COBA Board. One or both feet should be centered firmly on the black center toe bar at all times. Release your hold on the resistance bands before stepping off the board. Do not step off the COBA Board while pulling up the resistance bands as you will lift the board, which could cause injury. Always check your bands for any wear and tear. If you see wear, just send us a photo and we will send you a new band for a small shipping fee.

The COBA Board is a serious piece of exercise equipment; please consult your Doctor before starting any COBA Board exercise programs. Children under the age of 18 should be supervised by a Trainer or Parent.
